  • What’s the difference between a Jumbo and a Standard bed?

We use some of our biggest logs when we build our Jumbo beds. This means the Jumbo bed’s posts and rails are roughly 2-3 inches bigger than the standard ones. Also, the headboard of our standard bed is 52” tall whereas the Jumbo headboards are 60” tall. This allows individuals to pick the size of bed that most fits their tastes.

  • What does the box spring and mattress sit on?

The beds we produce are called “corral” style. This is because the bed “corrals” (or wraps around) your mattress. Since there are no slats, the standard metal frame sits inside the bed frame and provides the support and height. The top rail is placed so that it will hit the middle to the bottom of the mattress when a metal frame is used. The other option for support is our Under Drawers system. When this is used the box spring and mattress simply sit on top of the Under Drawers.

  • Do you use or offer slats?

We do offer slats if people do not like the metal frame or Under Drawers options. Slats are an additional $50.

  • Why aren't slats part of a standard bed?
There are 3 main reasons why we do not include slats:
    1. By not offering slats as a standard we reduce the price of all of our beds by $50.
    2. Along with reason #1, since most people already have a metal frame the bed is priced perfectly to meet their needs. If an individual does not have a metal frame but is purchasing a new mattress, most mattress companies will include the metal frame if asked. Lastly, if an individual does not have a metal frame we sale them near cost. King, California King and Queen Frames are $42 while Full and Twin Frames are $25.
    3. The use of slats does not provide as clean a look as does the utilization of a metal frame. Unless cuts are made in the comforter and skirting they will bunch up around the slats rather than cleanly flow all the way to the floor. With a metal frame, any comforter or quilt will achieve a nice clean look.
  • What is the difference between Standard and Half-log?
Standard and Half-log refers to the drawer front options that are available. Therefore, only items with drawers would have this upgrade available. Our standard drawer fronts are flat-panel, solid aspen while are Half-log drawer fronts are three small logs laminated together and shaped to form one drawer front. The half-log option is very popular among those wishing to give the furniture some extra rustic flare.
  • How much weight can the Under Drawers support?

The Under Drawers are designed in such a way that they have more than enough strength to handle any weight capacity that is put onto it. The structure follows the same principle as an egg shell – when it is compressed from top to bottom it can handle a substanital amount of weight.
